John Martin Illustrations has been doing high quality illustrations for almost 20 years. John is a graduate of The College of Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Communication/Illustration. After graduating, he worked for a prominent illustration and design studio for 10 years before heading out on his own. John had also been an instructor at the College of Creative Studies in Detroit for 9 years. He specializes in decorative, editorial cartoon and mascot design. As part of Detroit’s explosive lowbrow art movement, John considers himself a blend of P. T. Barnum, Leonardo da Vinci, and Dr. Frankenstein.

His artwork has appeared in restaurants, annual reports, trade publication magazines, children’s educational books, and billboards. John has also been involved in toy designs, murals and custom artwork in churches and libraries.

John’s versatility and flexibility are his strong point. Clients range from automotive and marketing firms to private enterprises.
